Welcome to Middle School Art!

Middle School art is primarily for 7th grade students but accommodates 8th grade students in need of art credit as well. This is a 20 week class that meets daily. Over the semester, students will work to develop their skills as artists by tackling more difficult art concepts. There will be a greater emphasis on realism, observation, the application of the principles of art and design, and greater in-depth studies of a variety of artists and art movements throughout history.

All assignments will be completed in class and we will be using a variety of 2D and 3D materials. Google Classroom will be used as a supplemental tool to post assignment information and documents for easy access to review. Every student should be prepared at the end of every week with a charged Chromebook.

A gallon-sized zip plastic bag or a pencil case, or pouch (to be left in the room). 

Please label the bag with the first and last names.

 #2 pencils - one box of 12-24

 1 Pink eraser

1- 2 Black Sharpie(s) - fine point

Sketchbook: Unlined paper, maximum size 9" x 12" spiral bound preferred

All art supplies will be stored in the art room for your student to use and returned at the end of the quarter or semester.
