6th Grade Art 

 

Welcome to 6th Grade Art!

The 6th Graders will have art for 10 weeks as one of their quarterly rotations. We will meet daily for 10 weeks, and we will work to advance our art skills while enjoying all that the visual arts have to offer. 6th grade is a year of new-found independence as Middle School students. In the art room we will focus on becoming better artists while being kind, supportive, and responsible. I look forward to seeing what unique and creative touch each person brings to this program!

We will work on a variety of 2D and 3D art projects inspired by various places in the world. All work will be completed in class. Google Classroom will be used as a supplemental tool and to post project information for easy reference. Every student should come to class prepared with a charged Chromebook at the end of each week.

A gallon-sized zip plastic bag or a pencil case, or pouch (to be left in the room).

Please label the bag with your first and last names.

 #2 pencils - 1 box, 12-24

1 - 2  Black Sharpie(s) - fine point

Sketchbook: Unlined paper, maximum size 9" x 12" spiral bound preferred

All art supplies will be stored in the art room and returned at the end of the quarter.
