Who Is Mrs. DeGroat?

It's hard to believe that I'm going into my 25th school year in 6th grade. After attending SUNY Fredonia and St. Bonaventure, I was excited to begin my official career at Eden after a few years of substituting. 

 

I live in Angola with my husband, son, daughter, and our energetic dog.  I enjoy reading, walking, baking, and traveling. Baking is one of my favorite ways to spend time with my family. One way for me to relax is to get lost in a good book. One surprising hobby that I have participated in off and on since I was your age is archery. My family and I don't have the time we used to but I really enjoyed sharing that experience with them. 

 

I am looking forward to getting to know you. In our Thinking Classroom, you will be challenged to think beyond the problem and work together as a team. I will support and encourage you to achieve your goals. For now, relax and refresh your minds by playing and exploring. Have a great second half of summer and I will see you in September!
