How can my child improve his math grade?
There are many things students can do to improve their grade:
1. Homework, while not graded, is very important, since it is practice of the lesson learned that day. Please make sure that your child does his homework every night.

1. Homework, while not graded, is very important, since it is practice of the lesson learned that day. Please make sure that your child does his homework every night.
2. Children are always encouraged to ask questions in class. I will not know that a child doesn't understand something if he doesn't ask questions.
3. I am always available for extra help. We have Learning Lab every day and students are encouraged to seek help if needed.
4. The textbook website is an excellent resource, as it has practice problems and math games.

I do not give extra credit. What I have found is that children come to rely on extra credit instead of putting the effort into studying for tests. Tests are usually announced at least three days in advance (and usually a week), so there is plenty of time to get help.
