English 11:
Students in English 11 can expect to do a great deal of writing and reading.
Writing will concentrate on multiple paragraph essays both expository and persuasive; quick writes, responses to literature, and creative writing. Students will follow ALL parts of the writing process.
With literature, students can expect to read some or all of the following:
- Hamlet
- Macbeth
- Night
- Of Mice and Men
- The Bean Trees
- The Natural
- The Crucible
- Walden
- Essays from Emerson
- The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass
- The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
