Electricity/Electronics
This course will build off of the basic knowledge, and theories, obtained from previous years of electricity/electronics from science and Technology courses. The course will be broken into two modules: Introduction to electricity and electronics. Introduction to electricity will include: Generation, IC, transfer, Low voltage applications and line voltage applications. The electronics portion of the course will involve the study and application of basic passive and active devices, circuits, and an introduction to integrated circuits. Throughout both modules a common thread of safety, laboratory skills, construction skills and fabrication skills will be apparent. Through experimentation, construction, and problem-based instruction students will be able to recognize how these systems interact with other technologies.
