About Mr. Kifner
Mr. Myles Kifner
Hello!
My name is Mr. Kifner and I am the Eden Middle & High School Director of Bands, grades 7-12, where I direct the Junior High Band (comprised of students in grades 7 and 8) and the Senior High Band (comprised of students in grades 9 through 12). I am a former alumna of the Eden Central School District, class of 2014. I currently reside in Eden with my three cats, a flock of chickens, and two goats. Along with teaching curricular ensembles, I currently hold the positions of GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) advisor, Pit Orchestra director, and Jazz Ensemble director. I obtained my Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from Fredonia State University where I studied trombone under Mr. Carl Mazzio and Mr. Jonathan Lombardo. I am also currently attending Buffalo State University, where I am taking classes to obtain my Master of Music in Music Education degree. Before coming back to Eden, I previously taught at the Cleveland Hill Union Free School District, Springville Griffith Institute Central School District, Pembroke Central School District, and Lyndonville Central School District. Some of my favorite activities include cooking, hiking, spinning, kayaking, cycling, cross-country skiing, and spending time with family and friends! My professional affiliations include being an active member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA), the New York State Band Directors Association (NYSBDA), and the Erie County Music Educators Association (ECMEA).
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (716) 992-3637 x2152 or via email at mkifner@edencsd.org.
I look forward to another wonderful year of music-making!
