Senior Notices

9/29/2026 - NOTICE TO ALL SENIORS AND THEIR PARENTS:

Scholarships for Academic Excellence will be awarded to five seniors at Eden High School pending appropriation of State funds.  Eden qualifies for one scholarship at $1,500 and four scholarships at $500 each.  These awards are renewable for up to four academic years of undergraduate study.

The eligibility requirements include:

1. Each scholarship recipient must graduate from a New York State high school by the end of the 2026-2027 school year.

2. Each scholarship recipient must be a legal resident of New York State for at least one year prior to September 30, 2026.

3. In order to use the benefits of this scholarship the recipient must be in attendance as a full-time matriculated student at an approved New York State post-secondary institution by the fall 2027 semester.  Students who enroll in an out-of-state institution in fall 2027 are not eligible and must forfeit the award.  

The selection criteria that is used must be in accordance with the following State requirements.  The high school shall select their nominees by computing a weighted average of the scores on the Regents examinations taken prior to the students’ senior year in the subjects listed below.  The weighting of the scores shall be:

English Language Arts - weight of three

Algebra II - weight of three

Global Studies - weight of one

US History & Government - weight of one

Any 3 science courses - weight of one for each course
