Good Afternoon GLP Families! This is Mrs. Carter, GLP Principal reminding you that report cards will be live on the portal at 3:30 today, December 12th, 2019. In addition, tomorrow, December 13th, is a half day of school with an 11:20 dismissal for Parent Teacher Conferences. We also have a half day of school on Tuesday, December 17th for Parent Teacher Conferences. Our last day of school before the holiday break is Friday, December 20th, which is also Polar Express Day, where students can wear their pajamas to school!
Lastly, this Saturday, December 14th, from 11AM to 2PM, the PTA is hosting a Santa’s Holiday Shop at the GLP, where students can participate in holiday shopping, cartoons, snacks, and a few games and crafts. Flyers came home if you are looking for more information.

Good Evening GLP Families, this is Loran Carter, GLP Principal with some important reminders for the upcoming weeks.
Our Fall Family Reading Night is right around the corner and the forms to sign up are due on Friday, October 18th. In addition, we will be hosting a Weidner’s Chicken Barbecue on October 23rd starting at 5:00 PM to support the GLP Garden Club. Presale tickets for this are due Friday, October 18th also, but can be bought at the door, if available.
Book Character Pumpkins can be sent in or dropped off to school starting Monday, October 21st through Wednesday, October 23rd. Be sure to complete and send in the tag at the bottom of the form, which identifies key information for the pumpkin.
The GLP Book Fair runs on October 22nd and 23rd, with evening hours during Family Reading Night. We hope to see you all there.
Finally, Halloween is right around the corner, with our special GLP celebrations on October 31st, starting at 1:30 PM, with the parade following at 2:15 PM. All are welcome to attend!
Good Afternoon this call is to remind you that the NYS Math Assessment for grades 3-5 will be held on Wednesday May 1 and Thursday May 2. The assessment will take approximately 90 minutes however every student may continue to work until finished. Please have your child get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast. This is also a reminder that there is no school for students on May 21 this is a district wide professional development day. Thank you!
