High School Curriculum Guide
Use this curriculum guide as a brief introduction to the high school courses offered at Eden Middle & High School. We are proud to offer classes for everyone in grades 9 through 12: from the courses required by New York State to the most challenging college-level curriculum to the essential skills all students need to live independently, this booklet provides a roadmap for High School students to chart the academic beginning that leads to the rest of their lives. It is critical that both parents and students review the information in this Curriculum Guide and communicate with teachers and counselors after reviewing their child’s course requests for next year (viewable in the Parent Portal).
In 2026-2027, we will continue to offer a number of scheduling options for students that proved successful last year. For students in grades 10-12, lunch – with parent permission – may be eaten during a class period. Enforcement of minimum credit requirements for all students in grades 9 through 12 will continue as we believe it prepares our students for the rigor of life after High School.
Seniors will be expected to take a minimum of 6.5 academic credits during their senior year IF they do not participate in a verifiable internship experience or provide a documented letter from their employer stating the hours they are working. Early dismissal requests from Seniors are privileges and are considered on a caseby-case basis but not automatically granted. We believe this policy is in the best interest of your children and our students and we respectfully request your support in its implementation.
Please contact the guidance office at 992-3601 if you are in need of any additional information.
