Elementary Mathematics

The Eden Central School District utilizes the Go Math! curriculum in grades K-5. The Go Math! program is designed to address the Common Core Math Standards and recommended mathematical practices.  Elementary students are developing their mathematical mind through deep study in the following areas: counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking, operations and base ten, measurement and data, and geometry.
Go Math! helps to ensure instruction is geared for student success.  Differentiated instruction is incorporated into the program.  Lessons utilize a multi-strategy approach with diverse activities.  The combination of print, hands-on, and technological resources give teachers the flexibility to select an approach that will work best for their students.
The technology resources provided through Go Math! allow for a strong link between school and home.  Each student should receive account information for thinkcentral.org.  This allows parents and students access to the textbooks, homework pages, vocabulary links, and instructional videos.
