Parents: In accordance with New York Education Law Section 3012-c(10), parents and legal guardians may request the final rating and composite effectiveness score for each of the teachers and for the principal of the school building in which your student(s) is assigned for the current school year.  The District will also provide you with an oral or written explanation of the composite effectiveness scoring ranges for final quality ratings, and an opportunity to understand such scores in the context of teacher evaluation and student performance.  For the 2013‐14 and 2014‐15 school years, where a teacher and/or principal receives a safety net calculation that is higher than his/her rating under Education Law 3012‐c, a district/BOCES must report the teacher’s or principal’s rating calculated pursuant to Education Law 3012‐c and his/her safety net calculation with an additional explanation of the safety net calculation.  Parents and legal guardians must be provided with both the safety net calculation and the rating pursuant to Education Law 3012‐c.  If you are interested in obtaining this information, you should contact Loran Carter, CES Coordinator, at 992-3638 or any of the Main Offices, to obtain the request form that needs to be completed before any information can be released.  You may also print this form from this CES Form on our website.
